Full-Time Web Designer Needed

Our 12-person web software development company seeks a thoughtful, friendly designer to join our full-time staff in our NYC office. We’re looking for someone with 3+ years experience with both the design and build portions of a web project, who enjoys working with a supportive, dedicated team. As an upper level designer, you’ll work with us to create and produce web pages, branding concepts, and online application interfaces.
The ideal candidate has the following skills/qualities:
- Ability to conceptualize & implement designs for dynamic & static pages
- Strong typography skills
- XHTML, CSS (hand-coded, not dependent on Dreamweaver/GoLive/etc.)
- Illustrator, Photoshop
- Flash a big plus
- Javascript a big plus (from scratch and using existing libraries)
- Familiarity with web programming
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- Eagerness to share ideas and problem-solve creatively
- Intellectual curiosity
- Loves learning new things
- Likes pigeons
